June Update.

 

As I write this report in mid-June, Tatsfield Village Cricket Club have played six matches having won the last five!

 

Our fixtures in June have seen matches vs Petts Wood at Furze Corner and Eden Park at the Old Blues Club.  

 

Against regular opponents Petts Wood, TVCC elected to bat first and with a slightly re-jigged batting order reached an impressive 180-7 off 35 overs, with Dave King contributing 87, and Dave Eames 40.

In reply Petts Wood were limited to 118-5 off 35 overs with Wicket Keeper Andy Woolhouse TVCC star player taking two catches and conceding no byes.  TVCC  winning by 62 runs.

 

Last weekend TVCC travelled to play Eden Park at the Old Blue's ground.  Once again TVCC elected to bat first, and despite finding themselves under severe trouble at 11-3 off seven overs, Gary Weaver stepped up to the task and hit a magnificent 105* to guide Tatsfield to a total of 187-2 off 35 overs.

 

Eden Park batted well and reached 116 before their tenth wicket fell. Tatsfields most effective bowler being Matt Shaw who recorded figures of 3-23.

 

Tatsfield Village CC have upcoming home fixtures on 27th June, 4th July, 18th July and 8th August.
